The School of Erlen was founded in 1998-99. In the 2022-23 period, two classmates had the idea of making their own school football/soccer club, that everyone could join. At about the month of March of 2023, the club FC Erlen was founded. At first, all the people from the school were laughing at the two, but later on, they gained success on playing their own matches against other people from the school. As they gained their success, some people even made their own clubs, to compete with FC Erlen! FC Erlen and the partnering clubs are trying to make their own league for the schools of Emmen!
